Ross School of Business at University of Michigan
The Michigan Ross Full-Time MBA is an active, rigorous approach to becoming a leader who makes a positive difference in the world. In our two-year MBA program, our globally oriented curriculum, unrivaled alumni network, and extensive career support will help you get wherever you want to go — in your career, in the world, in your life.
We believe in learning by doing. From the very beginning, we’ll have you apply what you learn in real-life situations. Whether you’re researching an investment for the student-run commercialization fund, working on a healthcare problem in an emerging economy, or building a new-product prototype, we’ll have you practice the work you’ll be doing after school while you’re still in school.
We’re also the only school that requires all students to participate in a 7-week hands-on work experience. Through our Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP) course during the last quarter of the first year, you’ll work on a team of 4-6 students solving a problem for a sponsoring corporation. Depending on your interests, you may work for a Fortune 500 company, a small start-up, a nonprofit enterprise, or even a government institution. MAP teams travel across the globe to complete their projects — Mountainview, CA to New Delhi, India, your MAP project can take you anywhere.
During your second year, you will choose all your own electives. This includes the opportunity to take courses in one of over 100 top-ranked University of Michigan graduate programs. From education, public policy and law to engineering, natural resources, and medicine, the possibilities are endless. You can also complete one of 24 dual degrees.
